about this journal
Daniel Kahneman kept a journal he called what i write of what i think. I stumbled on this, while preparing to teach a class on decision-making. I decided to name my blog after his journal. This is because for a long time, my writing has lived in different places, and i wanted one home whether i was talking about business or poetry or my personal reflections.
This blog consolidates writing from two previous ones — Things I Almost Tweeted (personal blog) and faridaadamu.com (professional writing).
If you are feeling a little confused about the categories:
the eye – my observations of the arts, including film, literature, music and visual culture.
the world – my observations of society, people, places, how the world is lived in and sometimes my travels.
market note – my observations of businesses — company analyses, economics, strategy. Callbacks to my consulting practice, MarketNote.
the machine – my observations of and experiences with technology & data.
from here – personal diary entries that i want to share publicly.
